Weddings

As an all-female company, this is one of the most pleasurable and easiest of the tasks we undertake.

If you so instruct us, we can arrange everything...

  • Initial meetings and planning
  • The legal documentation
  • The judge
  • The church
  • The wedding breakfast
  • The cake
  • The flowers
  • The photographer
  • Pre-wedding jitters, stress and even the tears!

If you place yourselves totally in our hands, we will take all the "worry" away!

Mexico could have been created especially for weddings and honeymoons! Mexicans love a fiesta, and there is no bigger fiesta than a wedding!

We talk you through every detail and help you every step of the way, even to arranging for you to have your dress hung in a special place on the aircraft during the flight.

Please contact us immediately to find out more information.

Do not attempt to arrange this, your very special day, via the website. This is too personal, too precious, too special a time in your life. It must therefore be discussed in an intimate, personal way.

*Weddings have the civil ceremony first followed by the blessing, if you so wish..."

We, at Cathy Matos Mexican Tours, have arranged many weddings.
All of them in their own special way memorable!

Maroma...

We discovered Maroma all those years ago because I was invited to a wedding!
Maroma was then a tiny enclave. Orient Express have transformed the property into such a magical place that I have no words to describe this wedding venue. It is just dazzling... Coupled with the fact you will be given a true Mayan welcome.

Honeymoons

This, again, is a very important decision, regarding destination, ambiance, etc...
We encourage lots of one-to-one discussion prior to making the final arrangements. There are so many gorgeous places available throughout Mexico but each one has to fit in with the time you have available and the budget you have at your disposal. All your dreams and ideas can be discussed with us...

Beauty & Spas

Once again, as an all-female company, we are dedicated to finding the best there is to offer in sheer female pampering.

Mexico has some of the best spas in the world. The products used are of organic Indian origin and can be found nowhere else!

They have developed treatments that really do live up to their promises. You have to believe me on this one... because in this office, there is nobody who is more of a "spa queen" than me, Cathy Matos!

Let's now turn to more masculine pursuits...

Other activities include ...

Fishing

Every aspect of this sport can be found within Mexico. We can place you in fishing lodges that are so exclusive nobody knows about them!

We can make arrangements for your own boat with full equipment. We have a full list of all fishing competitions held throughout the year from Cozumel to Isla Mujeres, to Manzanillo, Mazatlan...

We appreciate that this is your passion; we just point you in the right direction of the perfect destination and venue for the kind of fishing you wish to pursue.
We can cover fresh water fishing, bone fishing; we can take you to islands, lakes, even to a river in the Copper Canyon area which has black bass and crayfish, the taste of which I have never forgotten!

We can direct you to blue marlin, stripe marlin, yellow fin tuna, black marlin, "bonito", conga hills, and many more...

Some of the best Bone fishing in the world can be found in Mexico.

Diving in Mexico

Mexico is blessed with 6,000 miles of coastline and an incredible variety of underwater landscapes. The surprising thing is that it is possible to dive in many inland waters, lakes and old Mayan Cenotes ( wells).

Scuba Diving

Every person familiar with Mexico has their own favourite place to scuba dive. Mine for example just has to be Cozumel but this is a deeply personal thing.

We are currently working on this section to give you the most accurate information...

Water Sports

White-water rafting, mountain climbing, and surfing; all these special itineraries can be designed for you.

White-water rafting

Veracruz's exciting navigable rivers are ideal for combining sightseeing with a little- or a lot of- adventure. Visitors can enjoy the state's natural beauty and a few of its archaeological site while navigating the Filo-Bobos, Antigua, Pescados and Actopan, the region's four main rafting rivers.

Rivers for white-water enthusiasts are rated from class one to six, and call categories are found here. Class one to three rivers are ideal for the beginning rafter. Class four and five are great for experienced rafters and kayakers, and class six is like plunging off Niagara Falls. Most rapids in Veracruz are easily navigated by the inexperienced rafter and offer a great opportunity to get started in this exciting sport.

Horse riding

As a horse owner myself, I think I am well equipped to direct you, our client, to the best stables and riding holidays.

Golf

Mexico has long been known as a top golf destination. This section is just not large enough to encompass the vast network of excellent golf courses available.

You have to, once again, trust us at Mexican Tours to gently point you in the right direction of the perfect place for you and your handicap!

There are over 75 championship golf courses situated along the coastal resorts. So many facts to share with you..... call us for more information.......!!

Birds and wildlife

We specialize in bird watching tours, which are set up with a qualified guide who may be an expert biologist. We could for example send you to Sian Ka'an biosphere reserve. This Mayan name means "where the sky is born".
Favourite spots for birds, in our opinion, are Holbox and the Yucatan Peninsula but, in actual fact, anywhere you visit in this great grand and glorious country will have a huge array of birds and wild animals (turtles, jaguars, crocodiles, flamingos, and many others...)

The famous Monarch butterflies

To see these beautiful creatures, you just have to allow us to put together the specialist itineraries available during the months of October to March.
We have, to our credit, been given many accolades for these detailed programs by many leading butterfly experts.

THE WHALES !!!!!!!!!!!!

Named after the Spanish explorer who conquered Mexico, the sea of Cortez (known south of the border as the Gulf of California) has been described as an upside-down rain
forest - here a profusion of life exists below the water. Up a third of the world's cetacean species (whales, dolphins, porpoise) are found in these waters, including the world's smallest porpoise - the vaquita- found nowhere else.

All along the stretch of the water, gray whales can be easily spotted.

We, at Mexican Tours, arrange very detailed boat and light aircraft tours to the actual spawning area of these incredible creatures. Season for the whales is November through March.

A point you might like to know is that everyone at the various hotels along the peninsula lineup to wish "good journey" to the last whale making her way to colder waters with her new baby...

VOLCANOES

Mexico has several snow capped volcanos, a joy to see upon your approach into Mexico City.

SILVER

Mexico still has many working Silver Mines.

AIRLINES

Mexicana Airlines is 82 years old and has one of the best and most respected safety records in the World.

MEDICINE

Mexico has made huge contributions to the Medical profession in diabetes, MS and many other diseases. Plastic Surgeons are listed as some of the best in the world. Cosmetic Surgery and Dentistry attracts many well heeled Female visitors!!

MUSEUMS

There are so many incredible Museums in Mexico City, even if you had a year to spend you would not get to visit them all!

CHILDREN

There is even a children's museum described by the New York Times as one of the largest and most technologically sophisticated "touch and go" museums in the world. There is also a Disney like park and a "Jurassic World"

FOOD

Mexican food is not just "hot and spicy". There is an enormous range of dishes to which the Mexican will add his "hot" sauce or spice once at the table....but the actual dish could be both delicate and bland. The produce is always fresh.

A Mexican housewife would cringe at how long fish is kept before it reaches our tables in U.K. Fish in Mexico is still moving when purchased!!
